Nature India
From childhood, whatever Indian science magazines that I began to subscribe or read for a while stopped publishing altogether. Remember Mirror, Science Today, Science Age? Recent fiasco is the Indian edition of the Scientific American. Just one issue bought at the West Mambalam potti kadai and it stopped coming to that shop although their website suggest it is alive.
Now Nature Magazine has launched their Nature India division. Trying their luck with this Sci Mag Killer Guy (Buy?), I presume. Welcome.
I received an invitation to join their user group, which I did. But given my star stuck disposition, I plan to help Nature India with my neglect. There is also a Nature India forum. But I am not yet sure of its India specific use.
Subhra Priyadarshini, Nature India editor has a blog Indigenus. Although the tagline invites us to
Drop by every day to know who or what is making news in the Indian scientific community
it is hardly updated after two posts in the last three months of its existence. Hope it picks up soon.
